Body and Beauty August 31, 2016

coconut oil body wash

Coconut oil as a health food has been touted quite a bit lately, despite being a healthy option for thousands of years, contributing to the healthy sheen of the skin of people who live in palm-y tropical regions. But what about as a body wash?

Yes, coconut oil is sold as a body wash, but you can make it yourself: DIY coconut body wash!

You only need a few ingredients to mix together to make this DIY health project:

2 cups unscented castile soap
1 cup rose water (or rose essential oil)
3 Tbsp coconut oil (melted)
15-20 drops lavender essential oil

For full instructions on how to make this cocount body wash DIY-style, visit One Good Thing by Jillee. She does a nice clear tutorial and uses something everyone can find at home — a regular glass mason jar — to shake up the ingredients!
