There are benefits to hanging eucalyptus elsewhere as well. What people who try this out are aiming for is having the eucayptus in the air so they and others can inhale it.

So what some people do is hang eucalyptus in the shower or elsewhere where there will be a lot of steam to spread the airborne minerals from the plant more thickly.

The benefits of having eucalyptus in the air:

Some people have also recommended hanging Rosemary. You could hang a bouquet of various herbs, which would at least give your house a nice, fresh, natural and tended to aroma.
