How to Stop Belly Bloat: 6 Ways to Flatten Your Stomach

Share

If you do keep up with the Kardashians or any other reality show on TV today, you will see seemingly perfect figures with flat tummies. It’s not good to compare yourself to anyone on TV. Remember, they have a lot of help to stay in shape and much of it is plastic surgery, which is so popular nowadays, that everyone admits it. Decades ago, no matter how perfect a body was, the actor would always deny that they had plastic surgery. So maybe it’s a good thing that everyone is coming out of the “plastic surgery closet” and being fair enough to the average woman to admit to having some very expensive help to get the perfect body. But what if you just want a couple pounds off of your tummy, just to get rid of a little fat. You’re not seeking perfection but you are seeking a flatter tummy.

Is it possible and if so, how can you make it happen?

1. Make a Metabolism Tea

When your digestion is sluggish so is your metabolic rate. These two conditions together can cause a bloated tummy. Starting your day with a cup of ginger tea is a great way to rev up your digestive system which will speed up your metabolism. Ginger will also curb your craving for salt and sugar.

2. Bathe in Epsom Salt

Epsom salt may help to deflate your stomach by drawing out excess water. You only want to take an Epsom salt bath once a week because you don’t want to dehydrate yourself.

3. Eat a Banana

Bananas are loaded with potassium which assists in balancing the fluid in the body and therefore can help get rid of a bloated tummy. Bananas are great for your health and quite tasty. Place them in the freezer for a summer snack or dip them in your favorite nut butter for a little extra flavor.

4. No Gum Chewing

Chewing gum causes you to take in air which bloats the tummy and also sugar and artificial sweeteners like sorbitol also cause bloat. If you must chew, try a natural and organic gum that doesn’t have all those bloating ingredients.

5. Eat Lots of Cilantro

If you are one of those people that love cilantro, then enjoy yourself. The blend of natural oils in cilantro are great for relaxing the digestive muscles and relieving tummy bloat. Coriander seed which is also cilantro, will help to produce the same results.

6. Enjoy Some Dark Chocolate

This should be easy to do. We are not talking about supermarket candy bars unless you’re in Whole Foods or some other organic store. We are talking about real, pure dark chocolate. Microbes in your gut love chocolate and those microbes convert themselves into anti-inflammatory compounds, which lessens tummy bloat.
